Marathwada Earthquake Relief Work
In the year 1993, a major earthquake devastated Marathwada region. RSP supported affected people by supplying food grains, clothes and also provided financial support to Janakalyan Samiti. Our team of voluntary workers involved in relief work. Ambulance was provided to Jankalyan Latur Hospital for 2 months which worked as a mobile health unit.
Drought Relief Work
RSP was actively involved in the fight against drought that hit Maharashtra and particularly in Sangli District 2003-2004. We maintained a cattle camp at Patgaon Village and also distributed fodder in affected areas. RSP also played its role in LSU programs of CAPART to make aware and educate the farmers in cropping patterns and water scarcity situation in the area. We also promoted water harvesting methods.
Flood Relief Work
Sangli District gets affected due to floods of Krishna river. In 2005 and 2006, the flood situation was very grim. RSP delivered health care service to affected people. We also provided safe drinking water , food packets, clothes and fodder for the livestock.
